Responsibilities of the role : As part of an established team of Mechanical & Electrical professionals the successful candidate will be involved in the production of competitive tenders / detailed estimates assisting the existing estimators and beginning with the process of getting quantities from plans and models under supervision. Compiling specialist sub-contract quotes. Ensuring sub-contractor quotes comply with specification. Completing take-offs from tender drawings and models. Filing and storing of all information in current folder system. Training in the mechanical role to become proficient in M&E. Your Qualifications and Key Criteria : Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly numerate. Computer literacy in relevant estimating packages. Willingness to learn. Available to attend head office full time for the first three months at least. Hybrid working will be acceptable after this initial period. Desirable Skills : A previous trades or engineering background. Microsoft Excel. Mercury is an equal opportunities employer.
