Accounts Assistant

Job Title : Accounts Assistant Location : Cork Contract Type : Temporary Salary : €35,000 per annum Hours : 39 hours per week We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a busy accounts department and gain valuable experience in a dynamic organisation. Key Responsibilities : Accurately process and verify incoming invoices for goods and services, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures Maintain organised accounts payable records, including logging, tracking, and filing of invoices Reconcile transactions by verifying entries and comparing system reports with account balances Allocate expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centres by analysing invoice and expense reports Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, or payments File and manage financial documents in an orderly and secure manner Maintain confidentiality and safeguard financial information Take ownership of new tasks and identify opportunities to enhance value through your work Requirements : Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced accounts payable environment Irish VAT experience is essential Proficiency in Intact IQ is a strong advantage Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills A proactive problem-solver who works well independently and collaboratively
