Senior Hvac Installation Engineer

Overview

This is a highly successful organisation in the Irish HVAC sector looking to add a skilled Senior HVAC Installation Engineer to its installation team in the Dublin and Leinster region.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a key role in the delivery of large-scale commercial and industrial climate control systems.

You will have strong hands-on experience, excellent technical knowledge, and the confidence to work independently while guiding less experienced colleagues.

Salary : €55k - €62k +allowances, company vehicle, pension and other benefits

Role Responsibilities

Carry out the installation and commissioning of advanced heating and cooling systems including VRF / VRV technologies, split-type air conditioners, precision climate control units, and chillers

Interpret and work from detailed technical plans and schematics

Identify and resolve technical challenges during installation phases

Coordinate effectively with project stakeholders and on-site tradespeople

Oversee and mentor junior engineers, apprentices, and general operatives

Ensure all activities meet current health, safety, and environmental requirements

Document installation work and support formal handover processes

Skills & Experience Required

Recognised qualification in refrigeration or air conditioning trade

At least five years of experience post-certification in a similar role within HVAC installation

Proven capability in working with systems such as VRF / VRV, split systems, close control, and chillers

Valid and up-to-date F-Gas certification

Proficient in reading and executing mechanical and electrical diagrams

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Solid organisational and communication abilities

Permission to work in Ireland or the EU

Desirable Qualifications

Previous leadership of small on-site teams

Additional safety or equipment operation training (e.g., Safe Pass, MEWP, Manual Handling)

Familiarity with systems from manufacturers like Daikin, Panasonic, or equivalent brands
