Overview
Position : Automation Engineer.
Location : Dublin, Ireland.
PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions with offices in Ireland, the United States and Puerto Rico, and serving the Life Science, F&B and Utilities industries, is looking for an experienced Automation Engineer.
This is a site-based role.
Role Description
The experienced Automation Engineer will be part of a New Product Introduction (NPI) project team at a highly automated biopharmaceutical plant in Dublin.
Reporting to the Automation Lead, this role is part of the engineering team delivering key projects as required.
Role Functions
Functions include, but are not limited to, the following :
Working as part of an experienced Automation New Product Introduction site Project Team.
Collaborating with Automation Engineers, Process SMEs and CQV Leads to understand process requirements.
Generating the key technical inputs into functional design specifications from all stakeholders.
Participating in and signing off on key functional design aspects as required.
Implementing the Automation Change Pack to make the required code changes.
Supporting project reviews internally with key stakeholders within Automation and customers as required.
Role Requirements
Degree qualification ideally in a related Automation, Chemical or Electronic / Electrical Engineering, Computer or other technical discipline.
5+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer within the biotechnology industry in a regulated GMP environment, delivering Emerson DeltaV solutions (S88 model) and / or high-level expertise in PLC and SCADA based systems including integration.
Automation Compliance lifecycle & change management experience
Ability to liaise with process engineers to define scope and deliver on specifications with very strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
Experience with process plant commissioning.
Good working knowledge of ISA88, ISA95, CFR (Code of Federal Regulation) Part 11, EU Annex 11.
Strong team player with the ability to develop relationships and work closely with several cross-functional disciplines, both within and outside of the function and organisation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to formulate thoughts in a clear and concise manner to provide clarity and a path forward on any issues.
