Corporate Tax Senior Manager

Our globally coordinated Tax practice combines exceptional knowledge and experience with local expertise and cutting-edge technology platforms, making us a market leader in Tax services. You will receive exposure to some of EY's most diverse and exciting clients, working with the latest Tax technology solutions in the market. We are currently seeking applications from suitable candidates to join EY’s Tax practice at Senior Manager Level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing business opportunities to generate growth within the firm leveraging the latest technologies available.
  • Responsibility for proactive management of both compliance and advisory work for clients.
  • Assisting in the provision of advice to clients on a range of larger and/or multidisciplinary advisory projects.
  • Building and managing client relationships and providing high levels of client service.
  • Liaising with clients, Revenue Authorities and other external stakeholders.
  • Proactive working capital management.
  • Developing relationships within the firm to build a strong network.
  • Coaching and developing team members
  • Active involvement in People initiatives.
  • Lead and review complex corporation tax computations and returns, ensuring compliance with Irish and international tax legislation and deadlines.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations, including SPA reviews and opinion letters.
  • Manage tax due diligence engagements, identifying risks and opportunities for private equity and corporate clients.
  • Oversee tax accounting and reporting processes, including deferred tax calculations and disclosures for financial statements.
  • Develop and implement tax risk management strategies, including advising on General Anti-Avoidance provisions and Pillar Two implications.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across jurisdictions, integrating domestic and international tax advice into client deliverables.

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical competence and keen ambition to develop further.
  • Client focused and commercially aware.
  • Practical/business driven approach.
  • Experience in managing a large compliance portfolio and the successful delivery of Tax services to clients.
  • Excellent team leader and player - ability to integrate and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to leverage strong client relationships and professional networks.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral.
  • Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines.

To qualify for the role you must

  • Be AITI qualified with 3-4 years’ relevant PQE.
  • Have detailed working knowledge of Corporation Tax in Ireland and internationally.
  • Have good working knowledge of other taxes in Ireland.


Ideally you will also have

  • Accounting qualification would be desirable but not obligatory.
  • Some recent relevant experience in Industry or professional services.
