Head of Sales & Events - Luxury Hotel

Red D are recruiting a Head of Sales & Events for a luxury resort in Co. Kildare. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced hospitality sales professional to lead a talented team across corporate, MICE, golf and social event segments within one of Irelands most renowned destinations. About the Role As Head of Sales & Events, youll oversee all aspects of reactive sales and event management, ensuring a seamless guest experience from initial enquiry to execution. Youll drive revenue growth, lead and develop a high-performing team, and collaborate closely with senior management to deliver on commercial goals. This position requires a confident leader with strong organisational, communication and relationship-building skills. Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in the daily operation of the sales function to maximise revenue and profitability Lead and manage the MICE, golf, events and wedding sales teams Oversee all sales enquiries, conversion and client follow-up activity Host client site inspections, familiarisation trips and networking events Maintain accurate records and ensure all bookings are properly contracted and communicated internally Manage the handover process between the sales and events teams, ensuring operational excellence Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive repeat business Prepare group pace, forecast and performance reports for review Develop and manage catering sales budgets and strategies Maintain awareness of market trends, competitor activity and local demand opportunities Set and monitor performance goals for the team, addressing challenges and encouraging success Support recruitment, onboarding and team development in collaboration with HR Work with management to refine SOPs, strengthen systems and align with the overall resort strategy The Ideal Candidate Proven experience in an event sales or senior sales management role within the hospitality sector Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills Organised, strategic and commercially aware with strong attention to detail A confident, professional leader who motivates and supports their team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment Whats on Offer Competitive salary (DOE) Ongoing investment in personal and professional development Excellent career progression opportunities Monthly recognition programme Employee Assistance Programme Social events and a collaborative team culture Uniform and meals on duty Discounts on accommodation, dining and golf for you and your family Life assurance and access to leisure facilities We can only consider candidates with full, unrestricted permission to live and work in the EU.
