Key Purpose of the Role :

Tate Europe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Project Management to lead our on-site delivery and execution of products across Europe. The Director of Project Management will be responsible for overseeing site safety, optimising pre-delivery processes, and ensuring timely and safe delivery of projects for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, extensive experience in the construction industry (preferably within Data Centers), and a proven track record of operational excellence and process improvement within an organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Tate's project management team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure successful project execution.
  • Oversee the on-site delivery and execution of Tate's products across Europe, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
  • Develop and implement pre-delivery processes and workflows to optimise Tate's ability to deliver projects safely and on time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline project management processes and increase productivity.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project management team and across the organisation.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for creating and reporting on project progress regarding scope, schedule, standards, and budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, value engineering, and revenue enhancement to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee design development and client technical submittal process with engineering design team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience working within the construction industry, with a focus on Data Centres and interior fit out highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of operational excellence and process improvement within an organisation, with experience in project management leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and managing projects across multiple countries is a plus.
  • PMP certification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Ability to travel, approximately 15-25% of the working week
