Head of Finance - Co.

Kildare Remote role with occasional travel to the office in Co.

Kildare Salary - €76,152-€96,305 depending on experience.

Develop and Oversee Financial Policy Establish, monitor, and update comprehensive financial policies.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and funding bodies (e.g., Charities Regulator, HIQA, HSE).

Ensure Robust Financial Control Maintain full regulatory compliance in all financial operations.

Implement best accounting practices and internal controls.

Drive Organisational Efficiency Promote and manage change to improve the use of resources.

Support cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency across the organisation.

Deliver Accurate Financial Reporting Ensure timely preparation of year-end accounts and internal / external financial reports.

Provide monthly management accounts and budget variance reports.

Engage with External Stakeholders Liaise with auditors, consultants, funders, and other external bodies on financial matters.

Manage the annual insurance renewal process and ensure adequate coverage is in place.

Maintain and Develop Internal Financial Controls Strengthen systems for budgetary control and accountability.

Identify financial trends and corrective actions in collaboration with senior leadership.

Oversee Day-to-Day Finance Operations Manage core functions including salaries, accounts payable / receivable, and financial information systems.

Supervise and support finance staff across multiple centres or departments.

Maximise Income and Resource Efficiency Promote value-for-money initiatives and identify opportunities for income generation.

Provide advice on cost control and service user costing to support planning.

Enhance Financial Systems and Governance Develop and implement KPIs and financial governance frameworks.

Lead business process improvements and the integration of financial systems.

Prepare and Submit Financial Returns Produce all required financial returns, including year-end and monthly reports.

Provide timely updates and reports to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
