Financial Controller

What you need to know Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for aFinancial Controller to join a well-established organisation-based Kilkenny. In this role, you will lead a well-established team and manage the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a 16-month contract and is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in your career in a dynamic environment and contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the organisation. Your new job Key responsibilities will include : Drive the efficient running of the finance function within the business and lead the AP, AR and Payroll team members. Preparing and analysing financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Presenting financial performance insights to senior management, identifying trends, opportunities and risks and supporting decision-making. Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, developing financial models, and monitoring variances. Designing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards. Partnering with external and internal auditors during review processes. Managing cash flow and liquidity, monitoring banking activities, and implementing strategies to enhance working capital. What are we looking for? Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). 3+ years post-qualified experience in a similar role. Strong technical accounting knowledge as well as financial regulations and reporting standards. People management experience preferred but strong mentorship experience will also be considered. Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and take ownership of key finance areas.
