Health & Safety Officer

Overview

My client is a leading Building Contractor in Ireland who have a great reputation and a proven track record of delivering projects across Ireland.

Due to their ongoing success, they are seeking a Senior EHS Advisor to join their team in Galway.

Responsibilities

Implementing and monitoring site-specific Health & Safety plans.

Keeping detailed records of inspection results and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Organising, attending, and chairing safety meetings to ensure clear communication and alignment on safety practices.

Providing ongoing Health & Safety training and support to staff and subcontractors.

Reporting and investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate follow-up and preventative measures.

Maintaining accurate records of all safety documentation, inspections, and audits.

Qualifications

An accredited degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety

Previous experience as a Health & Safety Officer in the construction industry, preferably with a Main Contractor on residential developments.

Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations.

Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

Minimum 5 years experience required
