Finance Business Partner

Your new company This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly professional Finance Department with a public sector body in Cork. Your new role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will create a real and active partnership by providing 'real-time' support and analysis, targeted information, guidance and solutions to the business. As the Finance Business Partner, you must be able to understand the data, assess its value before presenting your conclusions to the business managers as appropriate. You are an essential link between the finance department and the business and will work closely with business managers to formulate a financial budget by collating, scrutinising and ultimately consolidating the information into the organisation's financial budget model. This is an initial 11-month contract. I can explain the long-term prospects to you. What you'll need to succeed You must be a qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA and have at least 5 years' experience working in a general accounting or finance environment. You must have a demonstrable understanding of forecasting, planning and analysis in a business context. Also, experience of working with non-finance business managers in collating and consolidating realistic financial budgets, reflecting the necessary financial resources required to complete business plan objectives. Essential is the ability to gather and analyse information from multiple sources and to apply good judgement, to inform and form the basis of financial analysis for presentation to senior management and as a valued input to various business decisions.
