Senior Accountant

Summary The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the companys financial operations. This position leads the finance function, ensuring the production of accurate and timely financial information, the maintenance of strong internal controls, and the delivery of strategic guidance to support overall organizational objectives. Responsibilities Financial Reporting Prepare and analyze financial statements in line with applicable standards. Ensure timely, accurate reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. Present financial results, insights, and recommendations to senior management. Budgeting & Forecasting Oversee the annual budget process in partnership with department heads. Build and maintain forecasting and scenario planning models. Track variances against budget and provide clear explanations with recommended actions. Internal Controls & Compliance Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards. Work closely with auditors during both internal and external audits. Cash & Treasury Management Manage cash flow to support operational requirements. Monitor banking activity and optimize liquidity and working capital. Implement initiatives to improve overall cash efficiency. Financial Analysis Deliver in-depth financial analysis to support business decisions. Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide insight into cost control and profitability. Leadership & Development Supervise and mentor members of the finance team. Support professional development and encourage continuous improvement. Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure alignment. Process & Technology Improvements Enhance efficiency through automation and streamlined workflows. Stay updated with financial technologies and recommend system upgrades. Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes. Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, or CIMA certification preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
