Our client is a specialist Tax firm, based in Dublin 4.

With their expertise, experience and qualifications they pride themselves that their clients have one lead contact and they have the knowledge to identify and provide practical solutions to any tax issues that arise.

Their clients are drawn from the entire business spectrum and include large corporates, family-owned businesses, professional partnerships, medical consultancy, high net worth individuals and business executives.

They also provide taxation services to clients of accountancy and legal firms.

They are seeking to recruit a tax professional.

The role will suit somebody seeking to develop their career in tax and business generally.

Main Responsibilities —

Meeting their key clients on a regular basis.

Drafting their client advice letters / memos with assistance of tax director.

Recent examples include :

Advising on the tax reliefs available to their client when passing on the family business to the next generation.

Advising on the tax implications of moving residence.

Advising their client on the tax reliefs available to her on the sale of her business.

Tax due diligence.

Liaising with their client and Revenue in respect of Revenue Interventions – recent queries include domicile levy, connected party transactions and CGT valuations on share transfers.

Representing their clients on appeals to TAC.

Research of complex taxation matters over all tax heads.

Preparation and / or review of tax computations and income tax returns to ensure compliance with corporate and personal tax filing deadlines.

Supervising their tax trainees.

Participating in internal weekly training sessions.

About you —

Qualified CTA and ideally a professional accountancy qualification.

At least 1-2 years post qualification with specific tax experience in either personal tax or corporate tax.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Ability to work on own initiative and be organised to meet deadlines.

Ability to interpret tax legislation.
