Senior mechanical design engineer

Matrix Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for ourmanufacturing client in Wexford.

Youll lead thedesign and delivery of advanced automation and packaging machinery, driving innovation and mentoring engineers from concept through FAT and SAT.

Your New Role Key Responsibilities : Lead mechanical design projects from concept to FAT / SAT.

Create and review CAD models, BOMs, and design documentation (Solid Works / PDM).

Ensure compliance with GMP, CE, and safety standards.

Mentor junior engineers and drive design improvements What You Need : Degree in Mechanical Engineering 8+ years mechanical design experience (5+ in automation & packaging machinery).

Expertise in high-speed mechanisms, pneumatics, servo systems, cams, drives.

Strong CAD skills (Solid Works / PDM).

Leadership & Project Ownership experience.

Experience in pharma / medical automation, robotics, and vision / serialization systems- very similar environment.

Knowledge of GMP, CE marking, ISO safety standards.

Willingness to travel (~10%).
