Job Specification Position : Early Years Educator Location : Little Folks Academy, Trim Opening hours : 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm Contract Type : Full-time Reports To : Room Leader / Centre Manager About Little Folks Academy Little Folks Academy is a dedicated childcare and early learning centre based in Trim, providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. We focus on the holistic development of every child through play-based learning, care, and early education. Key Responsibilities Provide a warm, caring, and inclusive environment for children aged [insert age groups served]. Support childrens learning and development in line with Aistear and Solta frameworks. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care. Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive and professional childcare environment. Build strong relationships with parents / guardians through effective communication and regular updates. Maintain accurate records in line with Tusla and Little Folks Academy policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required. Person Specification Essential : Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education (or equivalent recognised award). Genuine passion for working with children. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Flexible and reliable with a positive attitude. Desirable : QQI Level 6 or higher qualification in ECCE. Previous experience in a childcare or early years setting. Knowledge of Aistear curriculum and Solta standards.
