Eolas RecruitmentDublin, Leinster, Republic of IrelandWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of ERP Systems to lead the strategy, governance, and performance optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, including SAP, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), and Business Central. In this senior leadership role, you will ensure these critical systems align with business objectives, drive seamless integration, and enhance operational efficiency across all business units. As the Director of ERP, you will oversee the management, scalability, and continuous improvement of ERP systems, ensuring they support the companys operational, financial, and strategic growth. You will spearhead digital transformation initiatives, leveraging SAPs enterprise capabilities, Dynamics 365 F&Os financial and operational tools, and Business Centrals flexibility for mid-market operations. Working closely with both technical teams and business leaders, you will identify opportunities for innovation, optimize workflows, enhance data-driven decision-making, and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain a future-ready ERP landscape. Job Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP strategy that aligns with business goals and long-term vision. Assess and recommend ERP solutions, upgrades, and enhancements to meet evolving business needs. Drive ERP-led digital transformation initiatives to boost operational efficiency and competitive edge. Governance & Oversight Establish governance frameworks to ensure standardization, compliance, and risk management. Manage ERP budgets, vendor contracts, and implementation partners. Oversee system performance, scalability, and security to maintain business continuity. Ensure effective BAU (Business-As-Usual) and Change Management processes. Project Leadership Lead enterprise-wide ERP initiatives, including implementations, system upgrades, and integrations. Drive cross-functional collaboration to address system challenges and enhance functionality. Support the development of business cases to justify ERP investments and ROI. Allocate appropriate resources for the successful execution of ERP projects. Stakeholder Engagement Act as a strategic bridge between business leaders and IT teams, translating business needs into technical solutions. Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast and plan ERP enhancements. Provide thought leadership on ERP trends and best practices. Team Leadership Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing ERP team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Oversee training and development initiatives to enhance user adoption and technical proficiency. Promote a collaborative working environment to maximize ERP utilization across departments. Experience Required 15+ years of ERP management experience, including leadership roles with systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar. 4+ years in a commercial role. Strong understanding of cloud-based ERP platforms and digital transformation strategies. Strategic vision & business acumen to align ERP capabilities with corporate goals. Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and team-building skills. Strong expertise in financial and contract management. Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels. Results-driven, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Proficiency in business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., GxP, GDPR, SOX) and compliance standards. Expertise in enterprise architecture, system integration, and process optimization. Deep understanding of financial management, supply chain, and core ERP business processes. Educational Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
