Assistant Clinical Psychologist Highfield Healthcare, which incorporates Highfield Hospital and Hampstead Clinic Services, the Approved Centre, registered by the Mental Health Commission, invites applications for the above post. The Assistant Clinical Psychologist is responsible to the Clinical Director and reports to Principal Clinical Psychologist on operational matters and in respect of clinical governance arrangements within the organisation. The role of the Assistant Clinical Psychologist is to assist in the provision of clinical psychology input on acute inpatient, day hospital adult and longer stay mental health services. The role requires psychological assisting with assessments and brief treatments of adults during acute admission as part of a Multidisciplinary Team, as well as group facilitation. The Assistant Clinical Psychologist will also be assisting in the provision of assessment, intervention and consultancy services to adults with severe mental illness. The Role : To assist the Clinical Psychologists in providing psychological assessments based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integrating data from a variety of sources including psychological tests, self-report measures, direct and indirect observation and interviews with clients, family members and / or support staff To assist in the running and facilitating of psychological group Interventions To assist in the formulating and implement plans for psychological interventions based on an appropriate conceptual framework Utilise evidence-informed literature and research to support effective practice Receive regular clinical professional supervision Requirements : Must hold a Masters or Postgraduate qualification in psychology. recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) 1 year experience of working in a mental health setting Enthusiasm and attention to detail Desirable : Group facilitation experience Experience of inter-disciplinary working Experience of managing own workload and responding to multiple demands for psychology services Knowledge and experience using conceptual frameworks to formulate and understand individuals difficulties For informal queries, please contact Francisco Quesada Why Work with Highfield?
