Overview of the role : The Junior Bid Writer will have a key role in the production of high quality, customer focused tender responses. You will gain satisfaction from writing in a clear and concise manner with innovative solutions that meet our clients' needs. In addition to articulating solutions, you will also be responsible for the layout of documentation and slides to ensure they are visually appealing and memorable. The Junior Bid Writer role involves : ? Writing compliant, customer-focused bids as part of a team and independently, with guidance from the Bid Manager. ? Helping to identify winning themes and storyboarding to shape the content of responses. ? Analysing client requirements, including compliance and scoring. ? Championing the importance of effective bid writing, aligned with best practices. ? Working collaboratively to support Veolia subject matter experts and others in the team. ? Contributing to the final bid production process. ? Accessing knowledge resources and input from SLT, Quality, Finance, and Operations team members to create responses to specific client questions, backed up with evidence and case studies. ? Managing the resource and bid library. Ideal candidates will have : ? Degree or equivalent qualification in journalism or English, and the ability to write With the reader's interest at heart. ? Knowledge of bid writing best practice. (Not essential) ? Membership of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) professional body. (Not essential) ? Interest in learning how writing techniques support business growth and tender winning. ? A thorough approach, diligent, with keen attention to detail. ? Commitment to see projects through from start to finish. ? Good interpersonal skills with ambition to develop a career in bid writing and business winning. It would be great if you have some of these, but if not we'll help you with them. The successful candidate should be self-motivated, hardworking, meticulous in their approach and have a keen interest in applying the latest industry developments, such as use of AI.
