Reporting into the Retail Store Manager and managing a team of 8 retail assistants.
The appointee will be a strategic and operational support to the Retail Store Manager in achieving all retail targets and objectives.
Key Objectives : To assist the Store Manager in the coaching and development of the store team to deliver key retail objectives.
Assisting the Store Manager in the delivery of store sales and cost targets.
Assisting the Store Manager in ensuring that retail initiatives are implemented in the store, communicated to the team and understood by all team members.
In the Store Managers absence take accountability for short term delivery of Store Objectives.
Ensure Health and Safety standards are always adhered to in line with statutory legislation and Company policy.
Key Responsibilities : People Through coaching and leadership ensure that the mission statement, values, retail and business objectives are understood and fulfilled by the Store team.
Develop the team and implement proactive personal training and development plans.
In conjunction with the Store Manager, managing the daily workflow of the team, ensuring the right people are in right place at the right time.
Utilise wider resources e.g.
Human Resources, Head of Sales, Marketing team, GPG Technical team to optimise results.
Always striving for excellence, leading by example in all interactions.
Coach and mentor the retail team to deliver excellent customer service consistently.
Monitoring and driving the delivery of the customer experience by conducting regular colleague observations with follow-up.
Development of colour consultancy offering for our customers.
Ensure customer safety is a priority through completion of daily store walks.
Act as a Brand Ambassador for all brands.
KPI Delivery Work with the Store Manager to achieve targets for sales, costs and shrinkage.
Work with Store Manager to ensure wage cost targets are achieved.
Regularly review and optimize sales floor merchandising to achieve sales targets.
Proactively promote all own brand products.
Ensure company policies and procedures relating to the security of company monies and stock are strictly adhered to.
Communication Positively influence team morale and inspire the store team to achieve results through clear, concise communication.
In the absence of the Store Manager, take ownership and drive effective communication in a timely and consistent manner.
Interactive communication style with all store colleagues, championing the vision and values of the company.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience : 1 - 3 years' experience working in a similar role Strong selling skills Good interpersonal skills and people management with the ability to build strong relationships and influence.
Strong organisational skills Health and Safety Conscious Inventory control and ability to analyse information.
IT skills are required, along with the ability to learn new systems Have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility Must be prepared to work as part of a team and assist or carry out other duties during periods of high workload, sickness, holidays and emergencies Undertake any other duties as requested by your Store Manager.
