Training Centre Manager

Overview : Galway Bay Sailing Club's Training Centre is Irish Sailing accredited and offers Sailing and Kayak Courses for adults and juniors during the summer months.

We are looking to recruit a Centre Manager to co-ordinate, develop and oversee the running of our Training Centre.

Role : Reporting to RC Training and responsible to the directors of GBSC, the Training Centre Manager will lead developing and maintaining effective GBSC training related activities.

The Training Centre Manager will be responsible for organisation and operation of adult & junior training courses at GBSC as well as management of GBSC training facilities and equipment.

The role shall encompass the role of ISA (Irish Sailing Association) Centre Principal and any duties associated with this.

The role will also involve developing and leading projects that support the long-term objectives of the GBSC Training Centre including new training programs targeting areas outside of the existing offering and expanding the training season outside of the current core Summer holiday period.

Key Responsibilities : Develop and maintain an effective training system in support of all plans and objectives of the Club.Develop and drive organizational growth plans through the provision and expansion of Training Centre offerings and expansion of the operational period beyond the current two months.Drive the marketing of all course offerings of the centre including managing all course bookings and overseeing daily operation of the training centre.In conjunction with RC Training, identify and recruit all training personnel (Instructors at Senior, Advanced and other levels) including completion of on-boarding and implementation of a developmental programme in support of future seasons at the Club.Coordinate all safety management and ensure all required support equipment is available to meet with the requirements of the full range of training activities.
