Job Description : Your New Organisation Your new organisation is a state-owned company responsible for delivering and developing public water and wastewater services across the country.
They play a vital role in safeguarding Ireland's water resources and enabling sustainable development.
They operate nationwide in conjunction with 31 local authorities along with various public and private sector stakeholders.
They have offices located nationally.
Your New Role There are several Senior Engineering vacancies across the Eastern Region, including Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, and Louth.
These are separate vacancies.
Your role is mainly site-based with some hybrid working (1–2 days / week).
Your duties include :
Carrying out site visits for non-standard new connection applications, performing site assessments, and creating work orders.
Overseeing connection requests to water and wastewater networks, working with Local Authorities and relevant parties.
Supporting network reinforcement schemes driven by connection demand, collaborating with Capital Delivery, Local Authorities, or third-party providers.
Providing excellent customer service throughout the connection process.
Monitoring site inspection requests related to non-standard new connections.
Conducting site assessments in accordance with Health and Safety policies and documenting results.
Performing technical assessments of new connection applications.
Documenting inspection results and managing work orders.
Conducting on-site QA for Water & Wastewater Infrastructure.
What You'll Need for the Role Technical expertise, regulatory awareness, and interpersonal skills.
Relevant third-level qualification in civil engineering.
Understanding of planning applications and connection regulations.
Familiarity with GIS systems, asset data management, and inspection protocols.
Ability to conduct site assessments, prepare work orders, and ensure compliance.
At least 3 years' experience in water, utilities, or similar industries (desirable).
Own transport (mileage paid).
This role is suitable for a senior engineer from private contractors, developers, or consultancy backgrounds seeking a client-facing position.
