Senior Accountant

My client, an established mid sized accountancy practice in North Dublin is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant (13 years PQE) with strong practice experience who can take ownership of their own portfolio and support the development of junior team members. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Oversee and review the preparation and filing of VAT, income tax, and corporation tax returns Support audit engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and deadlines Provide insights and analysis through monthly and quarterly management accounts Supervise and support junior staff, providing training, review of work, and guidance on technical matters Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 12 years post-qualification experience in practice essential Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation and tax compliance Previous experience managing client portfolios independently Comfortable mentoring junior staff and delegating work appropriately Proficient in Xero, Bright Accounts Production, and ROS Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client focused mindset Organised, proactive, and confident working both independently and as part of a team Working Hours 09 : 00AM 17 : 30PM, full-time office based with flexibility offered to support work-life balance Candidate must have a Stamp / EU Passport to be considered.
