Step into Avantor. Avantor is seeking a dynamic Regional Operations Manager to lead our Lab and Production Services operations across the Southern Region of Ireland. This leadership role is pivotal in delivering exceptional on-site managed services to our biopharma clients, enhancing scientific innovation through efficient, compliant, and customer-focused operational delivery. What You'll Do Lead and develop a field-based team of 19, including 6 direct reports. Oversee day-to-day delivery of General Lab Services, Technical Lab Services, and Procurement Services at customer sites. Develop and implement SOPs, Risk Assessments, and Service Scopes of Work. Engage in business development - nurturing existing client relationships and supporting bids / tenders. Monitor KPIs, SLAs, site performance and continuously identify opportunities to enhance efficiency. Drive EHS standards through Gemba walks and operational reviews. Collaborate with internal Avantor teams for seamless service integration. What We're Looking For We want natural team leaders from diverse operational backgrounds who thrive in fast-paced, service-led environments : Ideal Backgrounds : Supply Chain / Inventory / Planning Coordinators looking to step into a strategic leadership role. Team Leads in Regulated Production or Laboratory Settings. Retail or Hospitality Supervisors / Managers used to managing teams and customer operations. Skills and Experience : Proven track record managing multi-site or distributed teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging stakeholders from lab floor to leadership. Experience developing or working with SOPs, KPIs, SLAs, or risk management plans. Analytical mindset with good Excel and PowerPoint skills. Ability to multitask in a highly regulated, customer-driven environment. A clean driving license and willingness to travel within the region weekly.
