General Responsibilities : To ensure the hotel achieves the Leading Hotels of the World Quality Assurance targets and that the highest standards of luxury and quality delivered consistently to our guests To comply with the Health & Safety regulations of the hotel To have strong product knowledge of all areas of the hotel Specific duties : To be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special To be knowledgeable and informed about the introduction of products. To carry out cleaning as required. To liaise with other departments to ensure that all guest requests are attended to efficiently. To ensure that section is set up for service. To follow all departmental sops To ensure food quality is checked and managed To support sections to ensure the team are cooking the dishes to the agreed standard, checking quality, flavour, seasoning and presentation To keep to the LQA standards for food orders, ensure the team are working, quick, safe and focused To identify areas that we can improve the food quality and guest experience To assist in fridge management, stock rotation and food cost management To support teaching of the junior team members cooking skills and techniques The above list is not exhaustive and may be added to in the future.
