OpportunityeBay - Cybercrime Security Team - Product Manager Primary Job ResponsibilitiesIn the Cybercrime & Abuse team we put Customers first. Product Manager - Cybercrime Security eBay is looking for a driven individual to become a Product Manager within our Cybercrime Security team.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with business partners to establish product goals, definitions, and delivery strategies for a suite of products and features focused on customer security management, reporting, and insights. The ideal candidate will excel as an individual contributor and team member, advocating for customer protection against cybercrime and abuse.

This position also involves cross-functional collaboration to guide products from initial concept through to launch by bridging technical and business perspectives.

You will be able to break down complex issues into actionable steps to drive product development. Key ResponsibilitiesCreate business cases, PRDs, and requirements for customer security and cybercrime & abuse use cases. Define product strategy, engage stakeholders, and maintain clear documentation for development teams. Leverage AI / ML for real-time cybercrime & abuse identification products, including performance testing and iteration. Collaborate with engineering, product, legal, risk, and business teams on customer security protection products. Advocate for customer security, develop best practices, and act as a cybercrime subject matter expert. Define and track key operational metrics. Support projects throughout the development lifecycle, lead initiatives, mentor team members, and apply agile methodologies. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Essential RequirementsQualifications : Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of product management or related technical experience in security, privacy, or a similar domain, including developing or launching relevant products or technologies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to explain and present intricate analytical findings clearly to individuals without technical expertise. Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, iterative development setting. A strong commitment to personal integrity, professional conduct, and ethical standards. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within diverse, cross-functional teams. PreferredDesired Skills and Experience : Proven experience working with cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure). Familiarity with machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. A track record of building products focused on customer protection and internet safety. One year of experience in an investigative capacity, specifically in developing machine learning-based products or creating ML-driven classification / ranking systems. Experience with Abuse Detection and Security Analysis. Working with eBay TeamsCollaborate with engineering, development, architecture, product management, quality, and operations teams to improve eBay's cybercrime prevention, resilience, and response. Coach teams on the cybercrime landscape with a focus on risk reduction. Communicate insights and recommendations across the organization, ensuring close alignment with all relevant eBay departments and partners. Foster a dynamic, success-oriented culture. Utilize excellent communication skills to create awareness and engagement materials for various teams and stakeholders.
