Assistant Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Accountant (Level 1) to join our growing accounting practice. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting out in their finance career whether youre a recent graduate or part-qualified accountant to gain hands-on experience and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of financial accounts management accounts Process journals, accruals and prepayments Support in preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and relevant statutory filings (e.g., ROS submissions) Work closely with other internal departments and external clients Experience in payroll preparation and submissions to revenue General finance admin and support as needed by the senior team Essential Skills & Experience : Actively studying or planning to study towards a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ATI) Strong Excel skills and confidence with numbers Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a close-knit team Skills : Prior experience in an accountancy practice.
