JOB PURPOSE / ROLE

Reporting to the Head of non- technical accounting, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, supporting the month end processes, regulatory returns, and internal Allianz Group reporting.

The Financial Accountant is pro-actively driving these processes and provides expert input to it. The Financial Accountant is a key point of contact in the Accounting team and supports colleagues in their development. The Financial Accountant understands the underlying business processes and can conceptionally define the required accounting / tax / reporting treatment.

The role is within a continuously growingpany and team and provides plenty of opportunity to grow and develop in the field of reinsurance. It also offers opportunities to work on diverse projects within the Allianz group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will include :

• Working under different accounting regimes : IFRS and Solvency II
• Manage work assignments independently from start topletion as well as being able to define and solve problems independently
• Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Responsible for the preparation, analysis and submission of the annual plan and the quarterly review of actual financial performance versus plan.
• Assist with training, coaching, and developing junior staff members.
• Supporting the year-end external audit by responding to auditors' requests for information and documentation, providing input to and reviewing thepany's Financial Statements;
• Supporting Solvency II regulatory reporting (input, review, testing of QRTs)
• Supporting and delivering on internal audit requests
• Collaborating in a global team and managing relationship with different internal and external stakeholders including Allianz Group, Allianz Re SE, cedents, vendors, banks, clients, local authorities etc. as required
• Identifying and driving process improvements to ensure efficiencies maintained within the team
• Assist in assessingplex transactions, providing input and / or project management to ensure all key stakeholders aligned
• Drive self knowledge of the business, systems, and outputs to ensure aprehensive understanding of the accounting function
