Field Service Engineer 2

Job Responsibilities

Technical

• Responsible for providing quality repair, preventive maintenance service and complete installation and relocation start-up service of complex electromechanical and electronic systems at customer sites. Perform analytical problem-solving to the component level. May perform multiple technical tasks and may coordinate work of assigned engineers.
• Perform on-site preventive maintenance. Order and replace defective units, components or parts as appropriate.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions. Determine corrective actions required and / or escalate for assistance and prompt resolution.
• Assist with installing and / or relocating equipment at customer’s site.
• Perform upgrades, complete start up, PM’s, and installations on multiple platforms
• Remain up to date on equipment / tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals and other relevant materials.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by senior FSE / supervisor
• Accountable for maintaining assigned equipment (computer, tool kit, diagnostic test equipment, spare parts etc.) in good working condition.
• Maintain records and reports as required to properly coordinate activities with supervisors and customers.
