The Trainee Care Assistant positions will provide those with an interest in working and providing excellent care, with the supports and development opportunities necessary to progress and achieve solid foundations in which toestablishand advance their care career. The trainee care assistant role, offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop skills in a supportive environment while working alongside an experienced buddy for guidanceand will primarily be involved in providing excellent support and care to our residents, ensuring they continue to live a dignified and fulfilling life while in the care of Fold. What you will do : Support residents with personal care (e.g. washing, dressing, toileting) in a respectful and dignified manner. Help serve meals and support residents whorequireassistancewith eating and drinking. Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities, outings, walks and conversations. Work alongsideabuddytoassistin meeting the personalcareneeds ofourresidentsensuring theirindependence,dignity,and wellbeingiscentralat all times. Activelyparticipatein the day-to-day activities of thehousing with care scheme. Encouragingour residentstoparticipateinthevarious activitiesof the housing with care scheme. Assistancewithorganisingandfacilitatinganactivities programme for residentsthat enhances their quality of life. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in residents rooms, dining rooms and communal areas. Record and report care activities, concerns, or changes in residents condition to senior colleagues and onepiccare / charts. Attend mandatory training sessions and activelyparticipatein on-the-job training. Work towards achieving the relevantQQIqualification. Participate inthetrainee care assistant training and developmentprogramme.? What you can expect : Trainees will be appointedto the first point of Folds Care Assistant salary scalewhich is equivalent to €30,079. A fully paid12-monthrole, working 35 hours a week.
