This sense of purpose inspires us to work to the highest standards, to tackle the challenges that matter.About the role Work with the Finance Director to deliver the responsibilities of the Partner Matters team; The team is responsible for the following activities : Preparation & Defence of Partnership Tax Accounts, including identifying all addbacks; Review and analysis of PSWT certs to determine correct amount reclaimable in each tax year; Performing all required analysis of each nominal ledger account, e.g. reconciliation of lease control, analysis of meal expenses, practice development, telephone expenses etc. Management & Support of Partner Income Tax Return Cycle, including managing Income Tax registration, identification of Preliminary Tax requirements for new partners, ROS set up, review of each Partner Tax return for completeness and accuracy; Working with the Chief Tax Officer on management of Tax Compliance across all tax heads and jurisdictions, including conducting internal PAYE audits, BIK reviews, VAT reviews, foreign tax filing & withholding tax refund applications / exemptions and providing any analysis as may be required. Preparation of Partner Capital accounts, including identifying all required retentions required in any given year; Personal Financial Planning Support for Partners (Capital Account Projections; Retirement Model; etc.); Calculation, management and payment of all partner payments including Partner distributions, Retired partners payments, Partner pension contributions Shadow payroll, including hypo tax calculations, for partners who work cross border. About you Your role in Finance will focus on the management and delivery of the Partner Matters workstream, primarily the following areas : Manual payroll calculations regarding cross border workdays and hypo tax Reconciliations & related journals Preparation of tax accounts Income tax returns on ROS Capital account projections for individual partners Bank loan applications for individual partners Earnings letters for partners To be considered for this position, you must demonstrate skills and experience in the following areas : Excellent reconciliation abilities Income tax technical knowledge Qualified or part-qualified AITI would be an advantage If you believe that you meet most of the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.
