Removals Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities :

As an Operations Manager, your role will encompass a range of critical tasks, including :

• Assessing job requirements based on survey results and efficiently allocating personnel and vehicles.
• Overseeing vehicle maintenance schedules to ensure a fleet in top condition.
• Collaborating closely with the warehouse manager and staff to optimise workflow.
• Managing the removals diary on a daily basis.
• Maintaining comprehensive records of crew tasks, issues, and arrival times.
• Coordinating job costings with the transfer managers.
• Facilitating the use of "third-party" services during UK Removals activities.
• Establishing clear parking suspensions or exemptions as needed.
• Requesting service price comparisons from our client's partners in the UK Removals industry.
• Developing plans for assigning outside labour when necessary.

Requirements :

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications :

• Previous experience in Removal Operations Management is highly desirable.
• Hold a complete forklift licence and demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills to streamline operations efficiently.
• Proficiency in IT to effectively manage data and processes.
