Job Title : Conference & Banqueting Manager Introduction We are seeking a Conference & Banqueting Manager for our client based in Laois. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional service across conferences, meetings, weddings, and banquets, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable experience. The Conference & Banqueting Manager will take ownership of day-to-day operations, staff training, and event execution while working closely with the wider management team to maximise sales and maintain high standards. Responsibilities Lead, train, and motivate the Conference & Banqueting team. Oversee the smooth running of conferences, banquets, meetings, and special events. Ensure high standards of service, hygiene, and guest satisfaction at all times. Manage stock control, ordering, and budgets in line with targets. Work with senior management to achieve revenue and payroll goals. Handle guest queries professionally and promote hotel facilities through upselling. Take responsibility for duty management shifts as required. Requirements Previous experience as a Conference & Banqueting Manager or in a senior F&B / events leadership role. Strong leadership and team development skills. Proven success in delivering high-quality events in a hotel or hospitality setting. Excellent organisational and communication abilities. Knowledge of HACCP, health & safety, and licensing legislation. Financial awareness, including stock and cost control. A guest-focused, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
