Senior health and safety officer

Senior Health and Safety Officer A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Officer to oversee HSE management on a Pharma project in Limerick which is just starting.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior management in a collaborative, professional environment, promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) initiatives across multiple projects.

Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and compliance checks.

Manage incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.

Support the preparation and review of risk assessments and method statements.

Maintain and improve company HSE management systems and ISO accreditations.

Promote strong safety culture and near-miss reporting across all teams.

Requirements Diploma or Degree in Health & Safety (or equivalent).

Pharma project experience Minimum 4 years HSE experience in construction or civil engineering.

Experience managing ISO standards and environmental systems.

Strong communication and organisational skills.
