About the Team

OpenAI Finance is responsible for ensuring the organization is set up for success in pursuit of its mission.

The Deal Desk team drives efficient and strategic deal execution by partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations. We are responsible for structuring complex deals, managing pricing and discounting approvals, ensuring compliance with company policies, and optimizing the quote-to-close process. Our team serves as a trusted advisor to Sales, providing insights and guidance to maximize deal profitability while maintaining operational efficiency. We also continuously refine processes, enhance CPQ workflows, and implement best practices to improve deal velocity and business outcomes.

About the Role

We are looking for a Deal Desk Manager to be our first hire in EMEA for this function, playing a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our commercial operations in the region. In this role, you will help manage contracting workflows and the quote-to-cash process for our growing commercial volume and increased contract complexity. You will work closely with Revenue Operations, Billing Operations, Go to Market, Legal, and Finance teams to build and maintain scalable commercial processes, advise cross-functionally on contract terms, and facilitate execution of contracts. As our first EMEA hire, you will have a unique opportunity to influence strategic decisions and drive operational excellence in a rapidly growing market.

This role is based in our Dublin, Ireland office. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will :

Partner with cross functional teams to structure and approve complex deals, ensure compliance with pricing policies and revenue recognition standards.

Continuously improve deal desk operations by analyzing trends, implementing process and system enhancements, and driving alignment between global and EMEA-specific policies.

Support regional sales teams by providing guidance on deal structuring, approval processes, and best practices for maximizing deal efficiency.

You might thrive in this role if you have :

4+ years of experience in the Enterprise SaaS / B2B industry, specifically with order management, finance operations, deal desk, or sales operations in the EMEA region. Experience in EMEA and APAC regions is a bonus.

A strong understanding of order-to-cash cycle and experience in building related processes.

High proficiency in CRM and deal management software (e.g. CPQ, Salesforce, Stripe, Netsuite, Ironclad).

Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Accounting or audit background strongly preferred for accounting expertise.
