General Foreman

Orange Recruitment are currently looking to recruit an experienced Foreman for upcoming works in the Munster region. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in construction to take the lead on day-to-day site operations and help drive the delivery of a high quality project from the ground looking for a hands-on, practical individual with experience managing crews and subcontractors on busy sites, ideally within a concrete or general civils environment. Responsibilities : Take ownership of daily site supervision, coordinating direct labour and subcontractors Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements, working closely with the Safety Officer Plan and coordinate works in line with the project programme, reporting any issues or delays Monitor and report on subcontractor performance, ensuring targets are met Maintain quality control across all site activities, identifying issues early and rectifying them proactively Provide clear instruction and leadership to the site crew Foster a strong team environment and support open communication across the site Liaise with site management, engineers, and the design team as required Maintain accurate daily site records, including labour, plant, and progress updates Requirements : A proven track record working as a Foreman or General Foreperson on construction projects Experience coordinating a mix of trades and subcontractors on site Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans Confident communicator with strong written and verbal English Excellent knowledge of on-site health & safety practices Comfortable working to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance A team player who leads by example and brings a positive, solutions-driven approach to the role
