Senior Dietitian - Acute Hospital Services (Donegal) Salary : €70,000 - €80,000 DOE | Full-time | Permanent Emerald Locums, on behalf of our client, are recruiting for an experienced Senior Dietitian to join the Acute Hospital Services team in Donegal.

Role Purpose The Senior Dietitian will deliver a high-quality, evidence-based clinical nutrition and dietetic service within acute hospital settings.

The successful candidate will provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care while contributing to the ongoing development of dietetic services in line with HSE, CORU, and HIQA standards.

Key Responsibilities Provide assessment, diagnosis, and nutrition care planning for patients across acute hospital services Lead on service development, including audits, quality improvement projects, and evaluation initiatives Actively participate in MDT ward rounds, case conferences, and clinical meetings Support menu and therapeutic diet development in collaboration with catering services Supervise, mentor, and provide leadership to junior and student dietitians Contribute to policy, business planning, and service delivery improvements Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant governance frameworks Deputise for the Dietitian Manager as required Requirements Recognised qualification in Human Nutrition and Dietetics CORU registration as a Dietitian (essential) Minimum 3 years' post-qualification clinical experience, with substantial acute hospital exposure Proven leadership, mentoring, and supervision experience Strong clinical knowledge in acute care, with excellent communication and organisational skills Experience in audit, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice What's on Offer Competitive salary of €70,000 - €80,000 DOE Permanent, full-time position with opportunities for career progression Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement If you are a motivated and experienced Dietitian looking for a rewarding permanent role in acute hospital services, we would love to hear from you.
