Were Oak Smoke Bakery, a new bakery, deli, and café on Harolds Cross Road, and were looking for a talented Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about patisserie, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing pastries and desserts of the highest quality. Key Responsibilities : Preparing, baking, and finishing a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts Weighing, mixing, kneading, rolling, and shaping pastry doughs and batters Decorating and finishing products with icings, glazes, fillings, and garnishes Following recipes and production schedules while also contributing new ideas Ensuring quality control for every item produced Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation in line with HACCP standards Monitoring and maintaining baking equipment in good working order Assisting with stock rotation, ordering, and inventory management Supporting and training junior team members when required What Were Looking For : Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a bakery, café, or restaurant setting Advanced level of English (spoken and understood) Strong technical skills and attention to detail in pastry and dessert production Creative flair and passion for presentation, flavour, and innovation Ability to multitask, work independently, and perform under pressure A team player who is reliable, proactive, and well-organised Full-time availability, with flexibility to work up to 40 hours per week across 7 days, including early mornings and weekends What We Offer : Competitive salary, based on experience and performance Creative input into product development and menu design A respectful, supportive team environment where your craft is valued Staff discounts, training opportunities, and potential for career growth About Oak Smoke Bakery : Located on Harolds Cross Road, Oak Smoke Bakery is a new café, bakery, and deli offering artisan breads, fresh pastries, specialty coffee, and seasonal deli items.
