Interim Finance Manager - Financial Services

Storm Recruitment have partnered with our client in North Dublin to recruit an Interim Finance Manager on a 9-month contract.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in strengthening financial controls, governance processes, and statutory reporting.

Key Responsibilities : Review existing finance processes, strengthen controls, and implement improved balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on automation.

Enhance governance procedures, including bank mandates and authorisation processes.

Prepare statutory accounts, act as lead contact for auditors, and ensure supporting schedules and reconciliations are in line.

Develop and document processes, handing over to the BAU team for ongoing management.

Monitor risks through controls and analysis, maintaining risk logs and supporting preventative measures.

Drive system and process improvements Collaborate with finance and operational teams across Ireland and the UK, ensuring compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.

Provide progress updates to senior stakeholders and deliver ad-hoc finance support as needed.

Skills & Experience : Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Proven track record in financial control, governance, and process improvement.

Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.

Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to apply accounting standards and policies.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across finance and operational teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to identify risks and drive improvements.

Advanced Excel skills and exposure to automation tools Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
