Are you ready to take a leading role in the development of Ireland's renewable energy future?

We are working with a well-established, mission-driven renewable energy consultancy that is growing its operations across Ireland and the UK. With over 25 years of industry leadership, this organisation delivers expert support across the full project lifecycle - including wind, solar, battery storage, and grid infrastructure.

As a Senior Environmental & Consents Consultant, you'll lead the planning and environmental delivery of high-impact renewable projects, from feasibility through to permitting and compliance. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, guiding clients through the evolving environmental and regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of environmental planning and consenting services across wind, solar, and storage developments
  • Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Appropriate Assessments, and planning applications
  • Provide expert advice on Irish environmental policy and consenting frameworks
  • Engage with stakeholders, regulators, and project teams to ensure effective, compliant delivery
  • Support business development through client engagement and proposal input
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of a high-performing environmental team

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in environmental consultancy or planning within the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors
  • Deep understanding of Irish planning policy, EIA regulations, and relevant consenting processes
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Relevant degree in environmental science, planning, ecology, or a related discipline
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to sustainability
  • What's on Offer

  • 53,000 - €63,000, depending on experience
  • 8% employer pension contribution
  • Private healthcare and wellbeing support
  • Discounted holidays and flexible benefits package
  • Hybrid working model (based in Dublin or Castlebar with flexible options)
  • Clear career development path in a collaborative, forward-thinking company
  • Opportunity to make a real impact on the clean energy transition in Ireland and beyond
  • Join a Purpose-Driven Team

You'll become part of a highly respected environmental and planning team working at the forefront of the renewable energy sector. This is a role where your expertise will directly contribute to the delivery of sustainable, low-carbon energy infrastructure.
