About the Company

Leading Main Contractor with a Turnover of over €100M who work on interesting commercial and residential projects in the West of Ireland.

This project is a new build commercial development starting in Galway with plenty of future work in the area and room to progress within the company.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate staff while supporting the Project Manager to ensure the project is completed to a high standard, on time and in budget.

Building Envelope / Façade Manager

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that H&S is top priority throughout the design development and installation process

Management of the design development process and coordination between the various building envelope sub contractors

Management of the technical submittal process through formal approval with the design team

Management of the sample approval process thorough formal approval with the design team

Work within the confines of the agreed design and procurement schedules for the project

Manage the logistics of the envelope / façade install with the JJR site team and sub contractors

Agree installation check sheets with sub contractors and ensure they are complied with thereafter

Carry out installation checks and raise any necessary non-conformance observations and quality when required

Witness all onsite and off site testing as required

Hold regular progress meetings with sub-contractors

Ensure the Operations and Maintenance Manual for the envelope / façade works is developed throughout the project and available for handover of the project

Ensure that all certification from sub contractors is gathered in a timely fashion

Work closely with JJR's commercial team on commercial matters including monthly valuations, variations, value engineering etc.

Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure delivery of the building envelope / façade in accordance with the master programme

Track sub contractors progress against their installation programmes and highlight any issues in a timely manner

Highlight any risks / opportunities in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years experience in a similar role

Construction related Degree

Strong work ethic with an ability to "get the job done"

Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills

Good understanding of Irish Building Regulations and H&S Standards
