Director of Education The Institute WearetheleadingprofessionalbodyforAccountingTechnicians and Accounting Technologists,withmorethan10,000membersand students on the island of Ireland. Director of Education TheoverallobjectiveoftheroleoftheDirectorofEducationistoleadanddeliverthestrategicdevelopmentof ATIsEducationfunction with a viewtodevelopingandenhancing qualificationsin an all-island and international setting as well as planning,developing and implementing commercial strategies to support business development and new products and services. The role reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer, working closely with the Associate Director of Education, the Leadership team, and the Chairs of Education & Assessment to support ATIs strategy. The Director of Education has overall responsibility for leading the following areas : 1.Curriculum : the provision of effective curricula which provide the wider ATI educators, students and member community with a measurable plan and structure for delivering quality ATI further and higher education & lifelong learning 2.Apprenticeship : the provision of further and higher education technician and technologist apprenticeships. 3.Programme Management : the management of ATIs programmes, student supports and services on an all-island basis and the provision of excellent educatoradvice & in service training. 4.Quality : theassuranceofATIsAwardingOrganisations(AO)compliancewithCCEAconditionsfor recognition; the assurance of ATIs QQI,SOLAS & HEA regulatory compliance and the management and continuous improvement of ATIs Quality Assurance Systems (QAS), policies, processes, and procedures. 5.Assessment : the implementation of ATIs annual Assessment strategy, the operational management of its online assessment delivery and continuous improvements. The Director of Education has responsibility for LeadingandmanagingtheEducationteam,ensuringasupportiveandinclusiveworkingenvironment, high performance, prioritisation and sequencing of workloads, and a culture of continuous improvement. Leading the design and implementation of excellent ATI-wide professional development programming aligned to ATIs current strategic priorities. Leadingthedesignandimplementationofeffectivemethodsandprocessesformonitoringand evaluating education performance and mitigating educational risks. Guidinganalysisandevaluationofstrategicopportunitiesandoptionsandsupportingstrategic decision-making with good evidence and expert advice. Overseeingeffectivesupportforawiderangeofexternalrelationshipswithgovernment,agencies, andbusiness organisations,ensuring a stronginfluenceondecisions likelytohaveeffectsonATI, mitigating risks and optimising opportunities. TrackingexternalFE&HEeducationpolicyandmarketdevelopments,applyinginsightsgainedto advising on strategic decision-making. Ensuringexcellentandproductiverelationshipswithcurrent and future academic partnerships. LeadingonspecialprojectsasrequestedbytheChiefOperationsOfficer. ProducingreportsandbriefingsasrequestedbytheChiefOperationsOfficerandEducationBoard. Person specification EssentialCriteria : ExtensiveexperienceinHigherEducation ExcellentunderstandingoftheHighereducationenvironmentinIrelandandcurrentissuesastheyimpinge on the mission and nature of Accounting Technicians Ireland. Strong Commercial acumen Analyticalskills,abletoevaluateandapplyevidencetosolvingcomplexissuesatoperationalandstrategic levels. Provenabilityleading,managing,anddevelopingteams.
