Afterschool Coordinator

Overview

Little Scholars Montessori & Childcare are looking for an Afterschool Coordinator based in Rush Co.Dublin.

We are offering a part time position of 22.5 hours per week.

Monday – Friday, 1.30pm-6.00pm.

During the school holidays (Oct mid term, Christmas, Feb midterm, Easter break and Summer) the service will open from 9am-6pm.

The service is open for 49 weeks of the year.

The service closes for the last week of July, first week of August and Christmas week.

This role will be based within our Rush service working with afterschool aged children from Junior Infants to Sixth class.

Responsibilities

To assist in the care of 24 max after schoolers

To assist with school collections on foot.

Ensure the safety, security and well being of all children in your care.

To provide the children a hot meal (food delivered fresh and needs heated).

To work with the team on the structure of the classroom daily routine and functionality.

To be the deputy for the designated managerial classroom roles, such as First aid officer and all other Mandated roles and be the deputy point of contact for the school.

(The Lead and owner will be on hand to support as required).

Qualifications

Childcare qualification (Desirable)

Have Flexibility with your role

A good understanding of child's develop

Passionate, energetic and caring

HACCP, FAR First Aid, Manual Handling and Child protection (all desirable but not essential).

Experience in a similar role.
