Someone who enjoys being in charge of multiple sections or a large store can lead and manage large teams under them drive success and achieve commercial objectives in a high pressurised environment. Responsibilities for this Assistant Manager Job:

• Act as a senior member of management supporting the Store manager to achieve sales and other commercial objectives
• Ensure your teams abide by all company policies and procedures
• Manage stock inventory taking a proactive approach in investigating discrepancies and train staff and management on proper inventory management
• Being creative and innovative by studying and implementing advertising sales promotion and display plans.
• Take ownership in the store to effectively manage the stores controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
• Maintaining store staff by recruiting selecting and training new staff in conjunction with the HR department.
• Dealing with customer queries and complaints as per the company policies.
• Act as a point of contact for staff grievances requests and performance issues

Requirements for this Retail Assistant Manager Job:

• 5 years of retail management experience ideally within an environment within a fast paced retail environment.
• Must be completely competent in KPI management sales targets budgets and shrinkage and labour spend
• Proficient using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
• Excellent people skills with the ability to lead and motivate large teams of up to 50 under your management.
• The ability to work in high-pressure situations and achieve results
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence.
• A strong work ethic.
