Job Purpose :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Systems (IS) Manager to join our team.

The IS Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technology-related operational activities of our organization.

This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our IS systems and aligning IS strategy with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management :

Lead and manage the IS team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance.

Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback.

Develop and Implement IS Policies :

Create and enforce IS policies and procedures to protect the organization's data and systems.

Risk Management :

Identify potential IS risks and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including preventive measures and contingency planning.

Compliance :

Ensure that IS operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Identity and Access Management :

Identify and create user and system access accounts within the parameters of set Cyber Security policies and frameworks.

Strategic Alignment :

Assist the CIO in creating and implementing strategies that align with the organization's long-term goals.

Stakeholder Management :

Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Data Analysis and Reporting :

Analyze IS performance data and report findings to senior management.

Monitor Network Performance :

Continuously monitor network performance and address any issues that arise.

Manage IS Infrastructure :

Oversee the maintenance and operation of the organization's IS infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.

System Maintenance and Upgrades :

Ensure that all IS systems are running smoothly and are regularly updated and maintained.

IS Budget Management :

Manage IS expenditures, procurement processes, and negotiate contracts, licenses, and service agreements with vendors and suppliers.

Minimum Requirements

Education / Qualifications / Experience :

Qualification :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications :

COBIT & ITIL, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) will be advantageous.

Experience :

5 - 10 years' experience in an IS role, with at least 3 years in IT / IS management.

Strong technical proficiency in IS systems and infrastructure.

Leadership and team management abilities.

Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.

Key Skills

Communication Skills :

Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders and interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong Analytical Skills :

Capacity to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.

Systems Engineering and Disaster Recovery :

Develop and manage IS systems and best practices designed to prevent or minimize data loss and business impact.

Create and implement a comprehensive disaster recovery plan.

Innovation and Adaptability :

Keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies.

Drive continuous improvement, optimization, and transformation of the IS infrastructure and services.

Project Management :

Plan and execute IS projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
