Senior Training Officer – Power Plants Operations Permanent | Hybrid – Nationwide Are you an experienced power plant professional who enjoys sharing your knowledge and developing others?

We're hiring a Senior Training Officer to join a specialist training academy within a major Irish energy provider .

In this role, you'll help upskill plant operators across a fleet of generation assets, supporting Ireland's energy transition and infrastructure.

As Senior Training Officer, you will :

Deliver classroom and on-site training on power plant systems (e.g.

turbines, steam cycles, fuel handling) Design and maintain technical training materials and assessments Support trainees in building the skills needed to operate complex generation equipment Work closely with engineering and plant teams to ensure training matches operational needs What You'll Bring 5+ years' experience working in power plant operations (conventional, combined cycle, hydro, etc.)

Strong technical know-how — and the ability to explain it clearly Experience delivering structured training, assessments, or mentoring Comfortable using technical drawings, manuals, and Microsoft Office tools Familiarity with systems like Siemens V94.2, GE Frame 9, or Alstom GT26 / 24 is a plus A craft / trade qualification in mechanical or electrical discipline — or equivalent hands-on experience Open to applicants nationwide .

Hybrid role with travel as needed for site-based training.
