Responsibilities :

  • Perform tool installation tasks (mechanical assembly, electrical connections, robot calibrations) independently, from intial setup to final testing, with troubleshooting and problem solving of any possible issues.
  • Follows all procedures rigidly and ensures correct SOPs and schematics are available prior to performing installations.
  • Ensure systems are installed as per procedures satisfactorily through testing of equipment with assistance from senior engineers, existing documentation and diagnostic techniques.
  • Responds to fab issues by communicating with other engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce installation cycle time and costs.
  • Provide accurate reporting of status, hours worked and non-conformances.
  • Adhere to the safety and security policy and quality standards of the client and its customers.
  • Requirements :

  • Technician, Bachelor’s, or Master’ degree in mechanical assembly, equipment installation, maintenance, mechatronics, electronics, electrical, mechanical, or similar technical background.
  • Some experience or knowledge with CVD / CMP / EPI tools would be an advantage but not required.
  • Troubleshooting skills to solve mechanical and electrical problems during system installation.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently through daily pass-downs and equipment status reports.
  • Project management skills to control installation project within budget, timeline and installation quality requirements.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Confident in English to work with colleagues and experts from all over the world and to read plant documentations and schematics. Company language is English.
  • Good Knowledge of the MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • The position requires extensive travelling throughout Europe, up to 90%.

  • Interview Process :

  • Interviews held via Microsoft Teams, usually during evening hours as our clients hiring team for this position are based in their USA office.
  • 2nd Round interview is face to face and will include a practical mechanical and electrical hands on assessment & competency based questions

  • Have you got accommodation close to Kildare in Ireland for the periods of which you will be working at our clients Irish customer base? (When travelling abroad you will require a base in Ireland which you will have regular access to and may need to maintain and will not be covered under the remuneration package on offer)
  • REQUIRED
  • Have you the ability to travel for 90% of the time to customer sites across the European region – France, Italy, Germany, and Ireland and on occasion, further afield? (Travel to Asia or USA required for training purposes, up to 12 weeks)
