Veterinary Surgeon – Full-Time, Permanent

The Pet Hospital, Waterford

Salary : Up to €60,000 DOE

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join our progressive and supportive team at The Pet Hospital in Waterford.

This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a confident clinician who thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking practice.

About the Role

As a member of our veterinary team, you will play a key role in clinical decision-making, case management, and mentoring junior staff.

You will have access to excellent facilities and the support of experienced colleagues, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.

The Pet Hospital team consists of 2 Veterinary Surgeons and 2 Veterinary Nurses.

You will have :

  • Sole charge responsibilities and clinical autonomy
  • A varied caseload including consultations, diagnostics, and general soft tissue surgery (routine and emergency)
  • A well-established practice with a dedicated client base

  • Key Responsibilities :

  • First opinion consultations and ongoing case management
  • Routine and emergency soft tissue surgery
  • Diagnostic workups using in-house facilities
  • Client communication and care
  • What We Need From You

  • VCI Registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Competence in all routine surgeries and diagnostics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for delivering gold-standard veterinary care
  • Experience working in a sole charge environment
  • The Pet Hospital in Waterford is a 100% small animal, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital with high quality equipment and a passion for animal care.
