Newly / Qualified Accountant

My client is a well-established South Dublin accountancy practice and part of an international accountancy group.

They provide a full range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base, including SMEs, professional services, and international businesses.

The practice has historically provided audit services but will be diversifying away from this area in the coming year, offering the successful candidate a strong platform to focus on accounts and tax compliance / advisory.

Overview : My client is seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with solid experience in both Accounts preparation and Tax compliance / advisory to join their growing team.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior managers, gain exposure to clients, and contribute to the continued growth and diversification of the practice.

Key Responsibilities : Preparation and review of annual and management accounts for a wide range of clients.

Preparation and filing of corporation tax, income tax, and VAT returns.

Supporting partners with tax planning and advisory projects.

Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.

Liaising directly with clients, building strong working relationships, and providing technical guidance where required.

Supporting junior staff with technical queries and reviewing their work Assisting with the transition of audit clients into other service lines as the practice diversifies.

Requirements : Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, with experience in Irish practice.

Strong background in accounts preparation and tax compliance (corporation tax and income tax).

Experience in dealing with a varied client base, including owner-managed businesses and SMEs.

Excellent knowledge of Irish accounting standards and tax legislation Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective client relationships.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Previous exposure to audit is an advantage but not essential, given the firms strategic direction.
