Overview
As a leading, long-term energy provider and infrastructure investor in Ireland, my client currently supplies approximately 17% of the island of Ireland's total electricity requirements and is responsible for approximately 20% of wind power capacity installed on the island.
Due to their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Energy Services Engineer to join their team in Dublin.
The successful candidate will implement commercial energy efficiency projects and develop energy management strategies that balance environmental, regulatory and commercial interests of their customers.
Responsibilities
Providing energy audits for commercial customers
Measurement and verification of commercial energy efficiency projects
Providing sustainable solutions for upgrading commercial and industrial plant and equipment
Liaising with customers and vendors on a variety of energy efficiency retrofit projects
Managing the EEOS Quality Management System
Reporting on EUETS2
Building and maintaining relationships with statutory bodies and customers
Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers / vendors and ensuring products delivered to customers are of the highest standard
Assisting the Commercial Sales team to deliver energy efficiency products and advice to customers
Keeping up to date with the latest Irish building codes, regulations, and standards
Providing input in responding to regulatory and policy consultations
Participating in Innovation and Strategy development workshops / programmes
Developing financial models and business cases to secure investment in energy solutions
Understanding heat pumps and their different commercial applications
Guiding customer through ISO : 50001 implementation
Requirements
A 2 : 1 degree or higher in Engineering / Energy related field (e.g. Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, Structural Engineering, Construction)
5+ years experience in providing energy audits and energy solutions for the commercial, retail and industrial sectors
In-depth knowledge of energy efficiency products and solutions, and emerging technologies including but not limited to : Heat pumps and other methods associated with the electrification of heat; HVAC; VSDs and compressors; Demand Side Units (DSU); Solar PV and battery storage
Proven involvement in implementing ISO : 50001
In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Demonstrable experience of undertaking technology research and analysis
Ability to develop business models including rates of return
Demonstrable understanding of the ROI energy markets
