Yard Supervisor Drumshanbo

Barna Recycling is recruiting a yard supervisor to join our team in Drumshanbo. As Yard Supervisor you must have excellent attention to detail to identify hazards, oversee the daily operations and organisation of the yard to ensure efficient workflow, safety compliance, while supervising staff, managing the movement of equipment and coordinating with various departments within Barna recycling.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage the day to day running of the site.

Maintain the yard in a neat and safe condition

Oversee the General Operatives on site.

Ensure smooth operations of the site

Traffic management

Liaise with the Health and Safety department to conduct safety audits and conduct accident investigations.

Implement effective programmes for maintaining, enhancing, and fostering a 'zero incident' safety culture.

Foster a high standard and approach to health and safety compliance across the site

Must be able to work as part of a team but equally be able to work alone under limited supervision

Requirements

Clean drivers licence

Previous yard experience.

Good leadership qualities

Ability to operate machinery

Waste Management and recycling experience is a distinct advantage.

Tickets for plant is a distinct advantage

Reasonable computer skills

Daily production reporting and ad hoc reports as requested

Proficiency in the English language

Permanent contract

Salary negotiable depending on experience
